I opened a devotional book today to this...
"Are you experiencing the fullness of the Christian life? There is so much more to having a relationship with God than simply having your sins forgiven. In order to grow, you must be willing for the Father to speak to your heart and direct you through faith-stretching situations." (Every Day In His Presence)
We are never left alone, for God is always with us. While typing this post and reflecting on our relationship with God, I again randomly opened a devotional to this...
"Whenever you struggle with whether or not God truly loves and accepts you, realize it is time to go back to the cross. Spend time thinking about how profound the Savior's love is for you that He would endure such terrible suffering, how deep, forgiving, sacrificial and unconditional His Divine and unfailing care.
So if you're struggling because you've sinned and wonder if you've gone to far for God to love you anymore, take heart. You cannot stop Him from caring for you. He loved you at your worst. Now honor Him with your very best." (Every Day In His Presence)
Our Father wants to have a one on one, personal relationship with us. He wants us to go to Him with our plans for the day. He wants us to discuss our troubles as well as our joys with Him.
He is a loving Father that cares deeply about every aspect of our lives. He wants to be involved. He wants communication with His sons and daughters like any good Father would.
Speak to Him. He listens. And... He speaks back! In many different ways. You are special to Him. You are unique. He loves you!
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither heigth nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39
