To My Mother...

Only moments ago as we talked on the phone of the events of this day
and other struggles,
you spoke to me these exact words...

"This is not forever."

Only moments later I came upon this...

Love You Mom,

Forever

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.  Though it tarries, wait for it;
because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
Habakkuk 2:3

Sometimes...

Sometimes we need to cry.  Sometimes we just do.  We try to be strong, but sometimes we just need to cry.  I had a hard day.  And I feel tired.

We all have our struggles don't we?  Everyone.  Everyone has something.

You know I broke down today and cried.  Then, I thought, well just look at those in Texas right now, it's horrible.  I realize and my heart goes out to them along with prayers.  But, all of us in every day life have stuff.  And, sometimes when that "stuff" goes on and on and on... we get weary.  I had that point today.  I try to be that strong soldier, but I broke down.  I. Broke. Down... and I cried. I cried out to the Lord.  He is my sounding board.  Because sometimes... we just get tired.

It's a long journey on this earth.  Some days are truly great, but then we have to experience the tough, sometimes toughest days.  We trudge on, however, I know that without My Lord I would be in big trouble.  He is my best friend.  I have my loves and friends, but I can't continually gripe to them or burden them with my "stuff".  I run to Him.  I tell Him my woes, and He knows.  He knows.

Oh Jesus, How We Adore You!

Halleluah!

Painting of Jesus by Brent Borup

The Lost Sheep

About a week ago at around 7:30 am a police officer was knocking at our door.  My husband opened the door and was told that some of our goats were loose in the neighborhood. He laughed and said they are not goats, but sheep and they are not ours, but belonged to the neighbors behind us.

The officer then drives to our neighbor's house and then we see our neighbor get on his four wheeler, which is his "sheep dog" and drive to the neighbors across the street from us.  We looked and then saw the entire herd of around 35 sheep in their back yard.  It was comical to watch them be rounded up and guided back into the fenced in area.  I love sheep.  They are so calm and moved ever so slowly back, looking as if they didn't have a care in the world as the four wheeler slowly weaved to and fro behind them.

Later in the day my husband and I and my dad were in the garden and I noticed on the lawn a large clump of dung that I knew was not from our cats.  Then, we began seeing them all over the yard.  Yep, it was sheep dung and in the night that entire herd was in OUR backyard.  They were proved guilty by all the evidence!  I wish I would have saw them, but it was in the wee hours of the morning I'm sure.  We got a chuckle out of it.

I went back into the house and looking at the garden through the window I started thinking about all the sheep that was obviously there in the night, I sensed in my spirit...

"My lost sheep.  They will come here."

Shout To The Lord

Help Wanted!

"My child I am standing by to help you, if you would enlist me."
St. Padre Pio

That was a Rhema word I recently clicked on randomly.  Oh Beloved St. Padre Pio!  We had enlisted his help long ago with great results.

When I was pregnant with my third child, Adam, at around 8 weeks I began to bleed profusely.  So much so that it seemed entirely impossible for the baby to still be alive.  I had horrible cramping and bleeding and immediately called the doctor.  They had me come in the next morning.

As we arrived at the doctor's office for an ultrasound, our hope was quickly vanishing.  During the ulrasound I braced myself for what I thought was inevidable.  However, the news was not good, but not totally hopeless.

The doctor proceeded to tell us that what we had going on was called "Placenta Previa".  In other words the placenta had tore away from my uterus and was just lying completely on my cervics.  It was not attached in any way.  It was pretty bleak news, but the baby was still alive.

So, my instructions were to go home, stay home from work, lay in bed only to get up to go to the restroom for 2 weeks and then come back for another appointment.  He said the situation was serious and if I did carry him for long, I would most certainly deliver early at around 6 or 7 months gestation no longer.  That was it.

So I arrived home and followed doctors orders.  My mom and sister helped take care of me and the two other children.  Mom had prayers and anointing oils both from Saint Anne and Padre Pio.  We said a novena to Padre Pio and prayed daily requesting a healthy baby.

After the two weeks, I returned to the doctor's office for another ultrasound, and to their amazement the placenta had pulled back up to its rightful place and was in the process of being totally reattached.  The doctor was then more optimistic, but said I still will not carry him full term.  After the doctor left, the nurse looked at me and said she had never seen this kind of improvement in 2 weeks time!  She was truly amazed.  By the look on her face, we knew it was a miracle.

Needless to say, from that point forward all went well.  I delivered a 9.5 pound baby boy full term.  As a matter of fact, he was induced on his due date because he was getting so big and looked very comfortable.  The doctor stated that he would not make it past 6 or 7 months gestation.  Well our Beloved St. Padre Pio said differently.

We are truly convinced that St. Anne and St. Padre Pio saved Adam.  He is now 28 years old, married and a nurse.  Whenever I think of St. Padre Pio, I remember what he did for our Adam.

Mary's Heart

"Through a special grace, Mary had a sure mastery of all movments of her heart; yet she took the most scrupulous care to keep it free from any distraction.  She would have rejected any affection, intention or desire that was not directed to God and His Glory.

"From such a model we can see that the interior life consists in watching over oneself and one's heart, so that all affections and thoughts are consecrated to God."

The Key...

Excerpting a section from the poem given to me called "Rearranging" and posted on Saturday, August 26, 2017...

As one door closes a new one opens
I'm giving you the Key
Keys to My Kingdom
Keys to Me

Last night as I laid in bed, I asked Holy Spirit...

"What is the "Key" You gave to me?"

Immediately this morning, I went to Mark Mallett's website and his most recent post here... The Marian Dimension of the Storm.  I sensed this was the beginning of the answer.  Here's an excerpt...

"Thus, the coming triumph of Mary is at once the triumph of the Church.  Lose this Key and you lose the fullness of the prophetic message that God wants His children to hear today, both Protestants and Catholics."
Mark Mallett (August 25, 2017)

And this...

"Knowledge of the true Catholic doctrine regarding the Blessed Virgin Mary will always be a key to the exact understanding of
the mystery of Christ and of the Church."
Pope Paul VI, Discourse of 21 November 1964 AAS 56 (1964) 1015

"We had closed Paradise; You, O Mary had opened the entryway to the tree of life again... You are the bridge to life, the staircase to Heaven."
St. John Damascene

"All the saints have great devotion to Our Lady: no grace comes from Heaven without passing through Her hands.  We cannot go into a house without speaking to the doorkeeper.  Well, the Holy Virgin
is the doorkeeper of Heaven."
St. John Mary Vianney

It's been impressed upon my heart that the "Key" that was given to not only me, but us and to the entire world is Blessed Mother Mary.  A quote from Pope Pius Xll...
The poem I received Saturday, "Rearranging" speaks of God's Heart, His Heartbeat, His Rearranging, His Will and the Keys to His Kingdom which is Blessed Mother Mary because she holds the Keys to His Heart.

"God has entrusted the Keys and Treasures of Heaven to Mary."
St. Thomas Aquinas

She holds the Key to the "door of mercy" that leads to Jesus.  She is the New Ark of the Covenant and God has given Her to us.

This morning I went to 11:30 mass.  Unbeknownst to me the First Reading was Isaiah 21-23 and the Gospel was Matthew 16:13-20, which both scripture speak of God's Keys to the Kingdom.  A real confirmation to me.

"O chosen Queen of Heaven!  You alone are the refuge of guilty mortals to whom so many a tearful eye, so many a wounded and miserable heart is raised... You O elect Queen, are the gate of all grace, the door of compassion that has never yet been shut."
Bl. Henry Suso

Go here... Five Ways to Approach Jesus Through Mary

"No one can enter Heaven, unless by Mary as though through a door."
Saint Bonaventure-The Glories of Mary

"Open to us, O Mary, the gate of Paradise, since you have it's Keys!"
St. Ambrose

From the "Rearranging" poem...

"As one door closes a new one opens".

In the beginning with Adam and Eve a door was closed.  Through Our Blessed Mother a new door is opened.

So, I ask once again...

"What is the "Key" You gave to me?"

Answer:  Mother Mary

Praise God!

Rearranging

Listen.
Listen to Me speak in your ear
I am ever so near

Listen.
Listen to the beat of My Heart
That is a very
good place to start

My words to you
Are true

Soon, My Love, so very soon...

All that you now know will change
Do not fear as I rearrange

Rearrange, I must do
Do not worry
I have hold of you

You and yours are in the palm of My Hand
Do you understand My Love?
Truly understand?
You and yours are truly Mine

What happens next is not by chance
The entire world will rock to and fro
This is My Hand, you must know

All needs realigned to My Will only
It will happen My Love,
At first slowly

Then, with every beat of
My Heart
The rhythm will really start
Until all I have
To do
Is through

Believe, My Love it is for you
It is for all those who are Mine

Mine for all of time
Time and time and time some more
for ever, for evermore

As one door closes a new one opens
I'm giving you the Key
Keys to My Kingdom
Keys to Me

Never fear as what I have said is true
I love you My Sweet
I really do

Amen.

Love thy neighbor as thyself
Don't put that book back on the shelf

God has plans for all of us
But trusting in Him is a must

Love all who may come
your way
Even if they have to stay

Life will soon get very rough

There will be those who will cry
For some comfort and will want to hide

Give them all that you are able
With me in you...
You are able

To give what I have given to you
To support and love
In all you do

Did You Know?

It is exactly forty days from the Great American Eclipse, on August 21, 2017 to St. Michael the Archangel's Feast Day on September 29, 2017.

"But at that time shall Michael rise up, the great prince, who standeth for the children of thy people; and a time shall come such as never was from the time that nations began even until that time.  And at that time shall thy people be saved, every one that shall be found written in the book."

"Any many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth, shall awake; some unto life everlasting, and others unto reproach, to see it always."

"But they that are learned shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that instruct many to justice
as stars for all eternity."
Daniel 12:1-3

A New Song

I heard in my spirit this morning...

"Even the tone of one voice, changes the entire tune."

We wait, sometimes anxiously... wait.

Oh, to lay it all at Thy feet and keep it there!  Not my will be done, but Thy will be done!  That was my thought this morning.

Waiting is hard, no doubt.  Especially when we are waiting for answers for our loved ones.  The urge to take the matter into our own hands can be great.  However, we must wait!  Sometimes, and I know my mom and sister do agree, we feel as if we are alone crying in the wilderness.  We have dropped hints to family members and friends, tried our best to set good examples, and yet see no change.  But, are we alone?  No matter how sweet another's life looks on the outside, believe me when I say, they have their own "stuff" to deal with.  They have their very own, "hand-tailored" frustrations and sufferings.

We all have suffering of some kind in our lives.  Some have more than others.  Even waiting on the Lord can be a suffering.  The differences in suffering is vast.  All, no matter how small, can be offered up to God.  It's called "Redemptive Suffering".  I wrote on this topic here... Redemptive Suffering.

This morning I examined what I had heard in my spirit and it's meaning.  Shortly after, my mother called and told me of a lady who suffers much and was weary.  She was shown by an angel what her sufferings truly meant.  Here's an excerpt..

"During this time I had a lot of depressing suffering.  As well as suffering physical pain coming from my leg, I was suffering from depression and grief, due to the loss of my dear son, Frank.  It was now the first anniversary of his death.  The pain was going on for a few days.  I said, Lord Jesus, please help me!"

See the entire message here... MessagesFromHeavenValentinaSydneyseer

If you read the message in its entirety you will be touched and probably changed.  Her experience puts a whole different light upon our own sufferings.  It is made obvious that no matter how different our sufferings may be compared to others, that...

"Even the tone of one voice,
changes the entire tune."

I really feel I now know what was meant by the words placed upon my heart this morning.  We can change the entire tune for others and ourselves.

Our one voice, our lonely song, sung and offered to God can make all the difference in the world.

Our tone (attitude) can either change the tune (circumstances) for good or bad.  We can either keep complaining about our circumstances and sufferings or we can truly make a difference for good.  Valentina most certainly did!

The song of those suffering souls was surely changed.  They will now for eternity sing a totally new one.

So take heart people.  All of our sufferings are not in vain.  In giving even the tiniest of sufferings and frustrations that come our way to Our Father, we can change the tune for others and ourselves in it's entirety.

Our lone voice, sufferings and prayers does make a difference.  Have heart.

Have a Blessed Day!

A side-note, shortly before pushing the "Publish" button for this post, my son informed me that just last night a man by the name of Dallas, a body builder, after working out at the gym, went home and choked to death on a piece of food.  May we keep Dallas in our prayers.

Also, immediately after that, my husband called and said his boss' mother just fell and broke her hip. It doesn't look good for her.  May we also keep Velma in our prayers.

First Day of School

Well it's that time already.  I'm a tad sad.  Where does the
time go?

I guess it's good for the kids to get back into a regular routine, but I like them here with me.

Now begins the busyness of school, homework, extra-curricular activities, etc...

I pray they have a good, productive day.

Have A Blessed Day!

Emotional Baggage

Many voices clamor for our attention.  And the voices in our head can be overwhelmingly loud.  The Holy Spirit has a still small voice.

Today while pondering this I randomly clicked on a Rhema word as follows...

"Think of nothing but Him.  The best way to drive off useless thoughts is not to combat them openly and still less to allow oneself to be troubled and disquieted by them, but just to let them drop, like a stone into the sea; little by little the habit of letting them drop makes this salutary practice quite easy."

The enemy tries to get us off track and lose our focus, which should be entirely... Jesus.  It seems that the moment we take our eyes off of Jesus, we are fair game.

We, in of ourselves, cannot fight this battle, but we all know who can.  He is standing there arms outstretched waiting on us to call upon Him.  The key is to think of nothing but Him!  Just now I randomly opened Every Day In His Presence (Charles F Stanley) to this...

"Emotional Baggage - Today everyone you know is "poor" or lacking in spirit in some way.  They may be brokenhearted over a trial or ruined relationship captive to negative memories of the past, or disappointed by unfulfilled dreams.  This emotional weight is not only a burden in their everyday lives, it's indicative that the enemy has a stronghold." End

How ironic that just this morning I saw this from "Light of Mary" Luz de Maria...

"I invite you to cleanse your memory anew so that, free from all the refuse of the past, you are willing to change radically.  You retain so much in your memory that you have saturated it and are confused when you cannot put it in order... " See the entire message here... Light of Mary.

There's a similar theme going on here... It seems we need to unpack.  It's not easy when that excess baggage is coming from those that you love most, but we need to give it all to Jesus.

I was tested on some emotional baggage right after I finished this post.  God has a sense of humor.  And, how did I do?  Well, just let me say...

I need to work on it.

Lord help us!

Praise God!

Hold On To Me

Last week our daughter Kimberly returned home from a trip to South Dakota with some friends.  One of Kim's girlfriend's family moved there and so the remaining friends decided to fly there for a visit.

Of course, we tend to worry about our children going on such trips, but I placed her in God's hands and asked for an enterauge of angels to surround them.  It was toward the end of the trip one day I opened my ipad and to my horror there was a video of the girls jumping off a jagged cliff into a swimming hole.  I said out loud... "What are you all thinking?"

It wasn't until she was safe at home that Kimberly gave me the entire story and it could have ended badly.  She said, "Mom, now that I'm home and safe I'll tell you what happened."  And so the story goes...

The girls convinced the dad to take them to this spot on a cliff to jump off.  This area was not regulated at all.  There was a large waterfall and a cliff right next to it.  A large swimming hole spot that someone randomly left a rope and people would jump at their own risk.  She assumed it was 30-35 ft. high.  Kim was the last to jump.  The other girls managed climbing back up alright and so Kim got herself some courage.

She jumped and hit the water and began swimming to the rope.  As she began climbing she noticed she was getting tired. The rope had knots to cling to, but suddenly the knots ended and she had to find something to grip onto.  She said she was looking for an area to place her foot.  There was a protruding rock where she planted her foot and gave herself a good push.  However, her foot slipped and she started to slip down truly struggling to hold on.  She said she had hardly no strength left.

The girls screamed for the dad to help her and after more struggle she was pulled up to the top.  She said she was shaking uncontrollable and looked down and saw how if she would have fell she would have landed on jagged rocks.  She said, "It wouldn't have ended well for me mom."

Needless to say I was upset and I sensed strongly in my spirit...

"I pulled her up. I pulled her up!"

And immediately, I envisioned Jesus hanging over the cliff with His arm outstretched pulling Kimberly to safety.  I truly believe Jesus working through the dad pulled her up. Thank You Jesus for holding on to our Kimberly!

And just a side note, the picture of the outreaching hands above was entitled... "My foot slipped".

Shortly before me seeing the video of the girls jumping, I remember being in the car and singing rather loudly to this song that was on the radio "Unsteady"...

Little did I know!

Jesus saves!

God Bless!

Amazing Grace

Be Thou My Vision

Last night I was struggling.  I sensed that I was being fiercely attacked.  I had all these thoughts racing through my mind...

"You aren't making a difference to no one.  Who do you think you are?  What you're trying to do is a waste of
your time".

I felt a strong urge to shut down this blog and give up.  It was a bunch of nonsense.  It was strange.

I placed my hands on my ears and said "Lord, Help me!"  I was beginning to feel tormented.  I'm normally a very optimistic person, but a sense of dread was hovering over me like I've done something horribly wrong!

Then I came upon the below music video by Nathan Pacheco and began listening to the song "Be Thou My Vision" over and over again.  I just couldn't get enough of it.

Then I felt drawn to go to my blog and click on the "Lion of Judah" link on the right column of my blog.  I reread what happened there and thought, "You just can't make this stuff up!"

I asked Jesus... "What am I really doing?"  The urge to delete my blog and quit trying was strong!

Then I sensed Holy Spirit tell me... "That's exactly what satan wants.  He wants you to shut it down and quit.  He doesn't like what you are doing.  You are making a difference.  You are working for Me. Continue on soldier."

I really do feel that I was being attacked by the enemy.  He wants me to give up. Then this morning upon waking I right away went to Lana Vawser's website.  She had up a new message posted today.  Her message was for us, God's daughters.

Click here for that message... Daughters of God, You are Rising Up Stronger Than Ever!

It is not happenstance that in this message it mentions The Lion of Judah, which I was drawn to reread last night, and of the mention of 20/20 vision and I was so drawn to the music video... Be Thou My Vision...

                                                                NathanPachecoMusic

I said, "Jesus help me!" And He did.  It sure was comforting
to read Lana's post this morning.  It gave me renewed hope.
Oh Lord, Be Thou My Vision!

What an awesome God we serve!

Alleluiah

What's Happening Up There?

On Monday, August 21, 2017, there will be a total solar eclipse that will run across the United States starting from the west coast, Oregon to the east coast, South Carolina.  This hasn't happened in the United States for ninety-nine years.

This is a pretty significant event, however, many people have no clue.  My children didn't know anything about it until I mentioned it to them a week ago.  My daughter, Kimberly said that she then went to work and told people there and no one knew what she was talking about.

I told Kim I think it's time people get their eyes off of facebook and twitter.  Because, if their friends aren't mentioning it there, they won't know anything about it.  She laughed and agreed.

But seriously?  This is a big deal and it's amazing the amount of people who are clueless.  I hope when it happens they notice at least something is going on.

However, unless you have special glasses on don't look up!  It can damage your eyes.  Even glancing at the sun can cause damage.  Sunglasses offer no protection.  Be smart about your precious vision.

I told my kids not to be distracted when you are to be driving.  Keep your eyes on the road!  There is concern across the United States that may happen.

Something of interest regarding this eclipse, the path of totality crosses over seven Salem's.  Click here and be amazed... The Seven Salems of the Eclipse

There are way too many distractions and many people have narrowed vision.  I see people constantly looking down at their electronic devices.  It's time to notice what God is doing.  There's a lot happening out there beyond your cell phones!

Below is a video from an Opthalmologist on "How to Safely View a Solar Eclipse" without damaging your eyes...

Standing in the Gap

A person might ask, "What does standing in the gap mean?"

The word "intercessor" comes to mind.  God's heart is moved when we cry out for others.  He hears us.  Examples in the bible are Moses pleading for his people and also Esther pleading for the Jews. And our Blessed Mother Mary is constantly interceding for her children.

A couple other saints that come to mind for "standing in the gap" are St. Monica and St. Rita of Cascia.  They both had family that were desperate for an "intercessor".

I have been unusually drawn to St. Rita of Cascia.  A few years back I became interested in her life and watched on youtube an hour and a half movie of her life.  It was a very good movie, however, it is no longer available on youtube.  But, you can buy it on Amazon.

I was truly impressed by her saintly life.  She definitely "stood in the gap" for her husband and children.  She is an amazing saint.

My interest in her was before I knew I would have, as of right now, six of my children working as Techs and Nurses at a hospital named after her.

She is known as the Patron Saint of the Impossible.  Her feast day is on May 22.  Click here for a novena to her... Novena To St. Rita.

We should pray to Our Blessed Mother and other saints such as St. Rita to intercede for us.  We can ask them to help us "stand in the gap" for our loved ones and be confident that what is impossible can become possible.  They plea our cases before God and their intercession is powerful.  Have faith.

The Christmas Sweater (Dream)

Last night I had a dream that I was invited to a party along with my family.  It was a Christmas party, but we were told to not wear a Christmas sweater.

Next scene, I see myself going to this party where there are family and friends, but I am wearing a white Christmas sweater.  I am the only one.

Everyone around tolerated me for a short bit, but then I was approached and told that people there are disturbed by my wearing a Christmas sweater and I needed to go home and put on something else.

End of dream.

When I woke up I sensed this meaning... Christmas is Jesus' birth, Jesus is coming.  In the dream, the Christmas sweater represents Jesus' coming.  They don't want a reminder. They don't want to listen. They don't want to wake up to the times in which we are living.  They are afraid, in denial.

I was thinking about my family members who have closed their eyes and ears and then I sensed in my spirit, "Yes, they don't want to hear now, but after the "warning" they will come to Me acutely!"

I didn't quite know what "acutely" meant and I heard, "Look it up."

Acutely definition - extremely, exceedingly, very intensely, deeply, profoundly, desperately, tremendously, heartily

Praise God!  Alleluia!

It was indeed an interesting dream!

Holy Face Devotion (repost)

"Whoever gazes upon Me already consoles Me."
(Our Lord to Sister Pierina)

The Golden Arrow

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and
ineffable Name of God be forever praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in Heaven on Earth and under the Earth by all the creatures of God and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the adorable Face of Thy Beloved Son for the glory and honour of Thy Name, for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of the dying.
Amen.
*************
The Promises of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to those devoted to His Holy Face

1.  I will grant them contrition so perfect that their very sins shall be changed in My sight into jewels of precious gold.

2.  None of these persons shall ever be separated from Me.

3.  In offering My Face to My Father, they will appease His anger and they will purchase as with celestial coin, pardon for poor sinners.

4.  I will open My mouth to plead with My Father to grant all the petitions that they will present to Me.

5.  I will illuminate them with My light.  I will consume them with My love and I will render them fruitful of good works.

6.  They will, as the pious Veronica, wipe My adorable Face outraged by sin, and I will imprint My divine Features in their souls.

7.  At their death, I will renew in them the image of God effaced by sin.

8.  By resemblance to My Face, they will shine more than many others in eternal life and the brilliancy of My Face will fill them with joy.

I have this picture of the Holy Face, about a year ago Jackie became very attached to this image and began talking to Him almost every day.  Having Down Syndrome, she had not yet received her First Holy Communion.  But, upon her great devotion to Jesus' Holy Face we knew it was time for her to receive Jesus' body and blood.  What a wonderful day that was!

We love you Jesus!

Amazing Grace

The Spirit is Willing

...but the flesh is weak.

I heard those words upon waking.  Then I randomly opened Streams in the Desert (by Cowman) to this:

"And having dismissed the multitude, he went up into a mountain apart to pray.  And when it was evening he was there alone."
Matthew 14:23

"The man Christ Jesus felt the need of perfect solitude, Himself alone, entirely by Himself, alone with Himself.  We know how much intercourse with men draws us away from ourselves and exhausts our power, the man Christ Jesus knew this too, and felt the need of being by Himself again, of gathering all His powers, of realizing fully His high destiny, His human weakness, His entire dependence on the Father.

"How much more does the child of God need this, himself alone with spiritual realities, himself alone with God the Father." End

This morning hearing "The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak", I sensed Holy Spirit was telling me that we need to be alone with God the Father.  That is where we are refueled for the day.  It is through our communication with Him and prayer that our "batteries" are recharged.  Without this we become weaker and weaker.  Our spirit may be willing, but our flesh takes us further and further away draining us.  He is our power source.

Many times we find ourselves too busy to break away or just too tired to pray.  Pondering on this I randomly opened "Jesus Calling by Sarah Young" to this...

"July 29 - Come to Me continually, I am meant to be the Center of your consciousness, the Anchor of your soul.  Your mind will wander from Me, but the question is how far you allow it to wander.  An anchor on a short rope lets a boat drift only slightly before the taut line tugs the boat back toward the center.  Similarly, as you drift away from Me, My Spirit within you gives a tug, prompting you to return to Me..." End

Holy Spirit prompts us to pray, but do we listen?
Prayer keeps us anchored to Him.

Later in the day while picking up my daughter from practice, I heard on the radio the following song... "It's a Heartache".  It was impressed upon me that when we rely on others, or things before God, spending our time on "fleshy" things rather than "spiritual" we will have heartache.

The song relates the singer's utter dependence upon another person.  And, the heartache that it brought.  A verse in the song...

"It ain't right with love to share, to find that he doesn't care for you.  It ain't wise to need someone as much as I depended on you."

I sensed the Holy Spirit was bringing the lyrics of this song to my attention.  It went right along with today's post.

Our hearts do ache... ache for God.  And, God doesn't let you down, while your fellowman will. God always cares for you, while your fellowman may not.   Another verse in the song...

"It's a fool's game, nothing but a fool's game".

 Let us not be fooled.

Depending on anyone or anything else other than God, will most certainly bring disappointment and heartache.  We are to love each other,
but love and depend on God.

For He is steadfast and true.

If we keep our faith in Him,
our faith will be richly blessed.

God Bless!

A "Hot" Topic...

"I do not fear anything, although the storm is raging, and frightening lightning bolts strike all around me, and I feel quite alone.  My trust grows, your grace upholds me.  With You, Jesus, I go through life amid storms and rainbows with a cry of joy, singing the song of Your mercy."

The Ark Encounter

The other day I looked up at the television to see on the screen,  "Ark Encounter".  It was an advertisement for the new model of Noah's Ark which you can see here... Ark Encounter

However, once again, I knew there was more to it.  I had it impressed upon me... Mary, the Ark of the New Covenant.

Go here... Mary Ark of the Covenant to see scripture.

And here... Scott Hahn on our Lady for more information.

"And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars."
Revelation 12:1

Also, the below video is very informative, "Mary in the Bible!
Ark of the New Covenant!"...

God Bless!

The Portiuncula Indulgence (Noon today til tomorrow eve!)

Pentecost Sequence

Come Holy Spirit, and from heaven direct on man the rays of your light.
Come, Father of the poor, come giver of God's gift.
Come, light of men's hearts.

Kindly Paraclete, in your gracious visits to man's soul, you bring relief and consolation.  If it is weary with toil, you bring it ease; in the heat of temptation, your grace cools it; if sorrowful, your words console it.

Light most blessed, shine on the hearts of your faithful, even in their darkest corners; for without your aid man can do nothing, and everything is sinful.
Wash clean the sinful soul, rain down your grace on the parched soul, and heal the injured soul.
Soften the hard heart, cherish and warm the ice-cold heart, and give direction to the wayward.

Give your seven holy gifts to your faithful, for their trust is in you.  Give them reward for their virtuous acts, give them a death that ensures salvation, and give them unending bliss.

Amen. Alleluia.
