Redemptive Suffering

What actually is "Redemptive Suffering" (Offering It Up)...

Redemptive Suffering is a Christian belief that human suffering, when accepted and offered up in union with the Passion of Jesus, can remit the just punishment for one's sins or the sins of another, or for the other physical or spiritual needs of oneself or another.

Excerpted from "The Redemptive Value of Suffering"...

"Jesus is God's gift of love to all who suffer.  Through His Son, the Father reveals that He desires our salvation, our "eternal liberation" from the evil of suffering.

Those who embrace suffering can embrace Christ's work of saving the world.  Also, such good works entitle sufferers to share in Christ's glory."
